What can we do for you? HIV Community Link Medicine Hat provides non-judgmental, compassionate and confidential support for people at risk for, living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C.
Drop In Centre
A safe space to use the computer, internet, or phone, play cards & board games, read the paper & magazines and have coffee & snacks.
Drop in is open Monday-Friday, 12:30-4:00pm.
Needle Exchange Program
Access to safer injection supplies such as clean needles, sharps containers, alcohol swabs, needle disposal and information on safer practices.
The Community Based Take Home Naloxone Project is now available in Medicine Hat. Overdose deaths can be prevented if basic life support and the drug naloxone is given at the time of overdose.
Learn to stop overdose from fentanyl and other opioids and save a life with naloxone. People who use drugs, or caregivers, friends, and family are eligible for training.
Case management and support available in person or on the phone. Various groups and workshops held throughout the year.
Referrals and Advocacy
Connections to services such as addiction treatment, clothing, food, shelters, housing, employment, and more.
Education and prevention services are provided in the community as needed.
