Our organization would not exist if it weren’t for volunteers. They are critical to the continued success of our programs and operations. Our volunteers give about 5,000 hours a year, which means approximately 400 hours every month. The investment of your time in HIV Community Link is a positive contribution to your community. We believe that education, advocacy, and volunteerism are key to achieving our vision: Empowering choices, Engaging communities, Ending Transmission.

If you are interested in becoming a part of our volunteer team, please complete a volunteer application and send it with volunteer@hivcl.org along with your resume. Once you have completed an application, we will contact you to discuss your volunteer involvement. You can apply to a specific position, or just apply to be added to the volunteer mailing list for when new opportunities arise. You can find a list of current volunteer opportunities, and their position descriptions below.

Volunteer Activity Nights

If you’re looking for a fun and simple way to give back to HIV Community Link you can join us for our monthly Volunteer Activity Night! Join us on the third Wednesday of every month, where you’ll help us pack our condom packs which are distributed across the city in bars, community centres, and at special events to promote safer sex and provide information on testing options in Calgary. You’ll also get to enjoy some pizza, all while meeting other volunteers and contributing to the work of our numerous outreach and education programs!

Our next volunteer activity night will be on September 27, from 5-7pm.

For more information on volunteering, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@hivcl.org or by calling (403) 508-2500 option 5.
