Our organization would not exist if it weren’t for volunteers. They are critical to the continued success of our programs and operations. Our volunteers give about 5,000 hours a year, which means approximately 400 hours every month. The investment of your time in HIV Community Link is a positive contribution to your community. We believe that education, advocacy, and volunteerism are key to achieving our mission of empowering Choices, engaging Communities, and ending Transmission.

If you are interested in becoming a part of our volunteer team, please complete a volunteer application. Once you have completed an application, we will contact you to discuss your volunteer involvement. You can apply to a specific position, or just apply to be added to the volunteer mailing list for when new opportunities arise. Scotiabank AIDS Walk Volunteers:

HIV Community Link is seeking volunteers to assist in the execution of the 2017 Scotiabank AIDS Walk which will take place Sunday September 17, 2017 at Eau Claire Plaza. The Event Volunteers will work together with our staff to execute our largest fundraising event of the year! Positions include Route Volunteers – distributing water, giving direction, and assisting with activities. We will also be needing Plaza Volunteers assisting with check in, delivering t-shirts, greeting walkers and helping with set up/take down. Volunteers will need to be available September 17th, 2017 for shifts ranging from 9:30am – 3pm to assist with set up, take down and on-site logistics. Food and refreshments will be provided. Volunteer Activity Nights

If you’re looking for a fun and simple way to give back to HIV Community Link you can join us for our monthly Volunteer Activity Night! Join us on the third Wednesday of every month, where you’ll help us pack our condom packs which are distributed across the city in bars, community centres, and at special events to promote safer sex and provide information on testing options in Calgary. You’ll also get to enjoy some pizza, all while meeting other volunteers and contributing to the work of our numerous outreach and education programs!

Our next volunteer activity night will be on August 30, from 5-7pm.
